1. Ionization Process
Within the high-voltage reaction chamber, ambient air is electrically ionized—oxygen and nitrogen molecules are transformed into free electrons, positive ions, and negative ions.
2. Generation of Reactive Species
These high-energy electrons collide with gas molecules such as O₂ and H₂O, producing strongly oxidative active species including:
